Mrs. Desai obtained a Masters in Bio-Chemistry and soon thereafter worked with several reputed organizations like Cancer Research Center, Indian Institute of Technology, Powai and Godrej Soap Limited. While working at Godrej Soaps Ltd., she was instrumental in setting up their Bio-Technology Laboratory and was involved in sourcing out various equipments, sophisticated in nature.
